What do you bring to Deallus and clients that is unique?

I have over 40 years in the industry which has given me a huge amount of experience, so I’ve seen a lot across a variety of companies and functions (marketing, market research, clinical development, pricing). At this point I can really sit in a client’s shoes and understand their problems. I’ve also always been interested in the strategy of business.

I love seeing the problem, tearing it apart, trying to figure out how to do it better, what’s going to be successful, looking at the environment, what functions there, etc. Those challenges are what motivates me.

Background and experience

  • 30 years with Eli Lilly in 15 different US, EU and global business unit roles

  • 18+ years in multiple roles as CEO, Corporate Development and Business Development for pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and digital health companies in the US and Europe

  • Registered investment banker holding FINRA series 7, 63, and 79 licenses

Life outside of work

I can sum it up in six words: wife; kids; grandkids; wine; travel; and exercise. What’s been great is at this point in my life, I’ve been able to find a really nice balance between my work and personal life. I love that I am still so involved in the pharmaceutical industry and with small companies and investment firms. I also love that I have ownership of my time and therefore have more of it to spend with my family in Arizona or travelling around wine countries all over the world.
