Celebrating 20 years of Deallus

Since our formation in 2004, Deallus has been working with colleagues and clients to deliver on our vision to advance healthcare and improve patients’ lives.

We have built on our CI heritage and grown to be a global company partnering with the world’s leading pharma companies as well as emerging biotechs.

Since our first office in London we have expanded across the world with a presence in the US, China, Japan, and India. This allows us to have our experts on the ground providing local market insight and support. It is also reflected in the fact that 26 languages are spoken across our team.

We’ve grown to more than 110 employees with 35% holding a PhD and 80% with an advanced degree.

Our size and in-depth expertise allows a collaborative way of working. We are big enough to drive impact but small enough to be nimble and respond to the needs of our clients in a personal and proactive way.

Pete Hempshall, MEng
Chief Executive Officer, London

I feel so blessed to be part of the Deallus journey as we celebrate our 20 years’ anniversary. And I am so proud of our team. Together we continue to be excited – and challenged – by the future and our continued partnerships with clients.

20 years in CI

20 years in CI: As Deallus, in 2024, celebrates its 20th anniversary it presents a good opportunity to reflect on the evolution of Competitive Intelligence (CI) in pharma over the past two decades. It also gives us time to pause and review the part CI will play for organisations in the future.

CI as a function has come a long way in the past 20 years, forming its own identity within organisations and as a discipline separating itself very clearly from market research. Its evolution and place in an organisation is now allowing us to predict where it will be instrumental in the future for any organisation wanting to shape and define the market, rather than being led by it.

This is why we, as a company, are passionate about not only the need for CI, but its importance within organisations to drive innovation and inform strategic decision making.
