Prem holds a Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University. His most recent experience was with Fuld + Company, which pioneered many of the competitive intelligence and strategy techniques still in use. There, he managed several competitive intelligence engagements in the Health + Life Sciences Division. Prior to that he worked at a boutique ophthalmology CRO as well as working as a market analyst in the medical devices space, working across several domains including cardiovascular, surgical technologies, and women’s health.

Why did you join Deallus?

Deallus has a very capable team with strong scientific acumen, sound business sense, and a strategic mindset. To me, this is a recipe for an effective Life Sciences consultant who can truly help move the needle within our industry and ultimately play a role in getting efficacious and safe medicines in the hands of the patients who need them.

What do you bring to Deallus and clients that is unique?

With my background in engineering, I have a passion for innovative and breakthrough medical device technologies. This serves me well working with clients in the pharmaceutical industry, as I have perspective across the treatment continuum and with many different treatment approaches – some of which compete directly or indirectly with pharmaceuticals. Overall, one of my objectives is to get clients to understand the bigger picture of how market developments will impact their position in the marketplace.

What do you consider your strengths?

I am motivated by new challenges. That could be a highly technical subject area, a demanding client, or a project that requires a new skill – these things keep work interesting for me. This is also why I have always been drawn to consulting. There is always a new challenge to tackle.
