Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, London

Josh is our Financial Planning & Analysis Manager and joined Deallus in July 2020. He has strong financial analysis and reporting skills, good business acumen and partners with the wider team on many finance related matters. Josh manages our reporting to internal and key stakeholders, supports our budgeting and forecasting processes and supports ad hoc finance projects.

Josh gained a Masters in Chemistry from the University of Manchester before qualifying as a chartered accountant at Grant Thornton and then consolidating his accounting and leadership skills at KPMG as an Audit Assistant Manager for a further two years, working across a diverse range of commercial clients.

What do you consider your strengths?

I am an independent thinker and enjoy analysing the detail to really understand complex problems and key financial drivers. I take pride in my attention to detail and delivery of reports, ensuring that data is accurate and insights are timely, relevant and of high quality. I have strong communication skills and enjoy working closely with the consulting team to partner with them and help add value to their project financials.

I enjoy coaching and supporting others in the team, continually seeking efficiencies to simplify complex processes and spreadsheets to generate the insights that we require. Collaboration across the team is key to support our business goals.

Life outside of work

Outside of work I enjoy adventure, the outdoors and playing sport. I am a keen mountain biker and love to explore new trails to test my abilities and fitness while training up my trail dog. When recovering from inevitable injuries I enjoy regular adventures with our camper van and tents to see the remote hills and beaches of Scotland.
